About Edie
Edie Tolbert is a breast cancer survivor of 17 years. Diagnosed in 2008 with Stage 0 DCIS, she opted for a single mastectomy and reconstruction. Because of the overwhelming support she received, she wanted to find a way to give back.
After opening Stonebrook Day Spa in 2010, she provided one complimentary spa service to both breast cancer clients as well as survivors. In 2013, she extended the services to men and women in treatment for all types of cancer with a focus on oncology massage therapy servicesBecause the need was so great, we launched The Stonebrook Project in November of 2017 and began serving cancer clients in January 2018 through our nonprofit. 52% of the people we serve are women navigating breast cancer; therefore, we launched a breast health program in the summer of 2023.
After 15 years, Edie sold Stonebrook Day Spa, March 31, 2025, so that she can focus on The Stonebrook Project full-time. We will continue to partner with the new owner, Berkshire on 66, and serve oncology patients with massage therapy.
